  I had ordered a baptismal cake for my godson as I had heard of stellar reviews for quality for custom cakes. I confirmed my order on Feb. 24 and all was set for the baptism on Feb 26, 2017. To my surprise when we cut into the cake it was not the flavour I had ordered. I ordered a strawberry sfollia cake and instead it was chocolate. To some this would not be an issue, but the father of the son who was baptized cannot eat chocolate so not being able to enjoy the dessert was disheartening. So when I called to discuss the issue I was informed that a store credit would be provided. To be honest I don't feel this is acceptable. I do not shop at the bakery and I had only purchased this cake for a special occasion. What does a $80 store credit give me for a cake that I paid over $200 for and also delivery charges. I am totally appalled. For those who are purchasing your special occasion cakes beware. How does a bakery who praises themselves with 50 years experience make such a mistake???

  I love this bakery for its zeppole they make every year around springtime. I crave them and wish they were available all year! Cakes are good too.

  Absolutely the best cakes in the city. I haven't had a cake yet that I didn't feel was worthy of being served in the most highly regarded 5 star hotels and restaurants in the world. My favorite has to be the strawberry shortcake - it's just perfectly balanced and refined. And to top it off, the service at this place is superb. You really feel at home here and the staff are extremely attentive. I would give this place an extra star if I could.

  The bakery manager needs to learn to listen more and talk less also, needs to get a refresher on customer service, does not have a clue. As another reviewer posted, most of the staff needs customer service skills. Reputation tarnishing very quickly. Fix it!
